Entopest Insect Killer Spray is ready for use water-based spray specifically designed to control silverfish (Lepisma saccharinum). Ideal for spot treatments on hard, non-porous surfaces and voids that are associated with silverfish activity.

Entopest Insect Killer Spray contains both a synthetic and natural pyrethroid, in addition to the insect growth regulator pyriproxyfen.

Insect growth regulators are considered an important mode of control when dealing with established silverfish infestations. IGR works by breaking the life cycle to disrupt an insect’s normal growth pattern. Juveniles exposed to pyriproxyfen will be sterile as adults, thus stopping the constant cycle of reproduction in an infestation.

Control of the source of the infestation should be undertaken to prevent return. Silverfish are normally associated with damp, in particular, rotten seals around sinks and leaky pipes under bathroom utilities. Steps should be taken to repair any sources.

It is important to note that infestations will vary in size and additional products may be required for larger or more established infestations. Additional products and kits are available if required.

We recommend using a combination approach of various products when dealing with a large or established infestation of silverfish. An example would be the application of a surface spray to wall & floor junctions and pipework and insecticidal powder under floor coverings.
