Fly killers are designed for the control of problematic flies internally; their primary use is in restaurants and commercial buildings as a means to capture flies quickly. The unit attracts flies by using a UV light but as not all flies are attracted to this spectrum fly units are principally used for house flies, bluebottles, cluster flies, etc. They may not work with smaller flies.
We offer two styles of machines; either using an electrical grid or a glue board.
Electric grid machines kill the fly as they pass through a metal grid using electricity and these are the most popular machines used in the UK. However, they do create a risk of insect parts leaving the catchment area.
Glue boards have a large sheet of sticky adhesive at the rear of the machine that flies quickly get attached to as they enter the machine. No insect parts leave the confines of the machine so this can be used in areas of food sensitivity.
